Because of its position and its history, the house has a unique combination of having a domestic scale (having once been a home) with its feet literally in the heart of a well used community space – alongside an elevated position overlooking the river.  This provides the house, and the activities within it, with a fantastic opportunity to engage with a wide public from within the park.
