Solar powered
ventilation with heat recovery on a new university campus - built to a
budget of around £875m2 with mixed mode ventilation towers and wind
driven extract cowls. Atriums with a PV covered glazed roof and glulam
timber beams and a view down the promenade with teaching blocks overlooking
the new lake and island. Bill Dunster was the associate at Michael Hopkins
and Partners responsible for all aspects of design, construction and project
realisation. ZEDfactory's Matt Hoad and Steve Harris were also members
of the team seeing the project to completion.
