Our
aim
in refurbish existing block within housing estates is that the
block's can achieve a Code for Sustainable Homes certification of 5/6.
We aim to upgrade the
building's fabric without
altering the existing structure. These upgrades are put in place
alongside achieving increased security and amenity fairly shared out
between the units.
Key areas of improvement are;
Insulation, Airtightness, Window specification, Capacity for
installation of renewable energy technology.
Residents homes are given a good level of south facing windows into
main living spaces. In this way It is possible to provide up to 20 % of
a home's annual space heating needs from solar energy.
